Tokyo Motor Show 2013

Summary
We exhibited for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show from November 20 to December 1. With the booth concept of "spreading," we proposed environmental considerations and the spread of new value through new technologies and products that take on challenges in new fields aimed at the innovation of Yachiyo.

Front open roof system
We created an opening directly behind the windshield by making the front roof rail as thin as possible while maintaining the strength of the conventional vehicle body. This sunroof provides an overwhelming sense of openness similar to that of a convertible car.
Built-in fuel tank system
This is a fuel tank system that complies with the hydrocarbon permeation regulation LEV III, which is the automobile exhaust gas regulation in North America. By incorporating valves, baffles, and tubes during blow molding, we have achieved ultra-low transmission and low vibration noise. Furthermore, we have achieved weight reduction by establishing plastic extrusion forming and welding technology for the filler pipe.
High-gloss interior decoration technology by forming
They are high-gloss plastic parts that have achieved the same high gloss and smoothness as clear coating without painting, through the development of plastic materials and forming technology. Since no paint is used, it is possible to reduce environmental impact and increase productivity. We have also succeeded in minimizing the weld lines that normally occur during forming.

Interior decoration technology by painting
These are high-quality painted parts that have achieved new textures, tactile sensations, and colors through the development of coating technology. Available in a wide variety of colors, thry offer new possibilities for car interior decoration.
Ion Flare powder and liquid
Ion Flare is an antibacterial agent that stably elutes silver ions over a long period of time. By containing or impregnating materials such as rubber, plastic, and wood, it is possible to make various industrial products, such as automobile interior parts, antibacterial and mold-proof.

Introduced 3D driving simulation test machine (HEXaDRIVE) for the first time in Japan
In fuel tank development, we have strengthened our development capabilities by enhancing various testing equipment, including the introduction of Japan's first 3D driving simulation tester (HEXaDRIVE) in 2013, which can evaluate performance under actual driving conditions. We will establish a foundation for producing high quality and high added value that can serve customers both domestically and internationally.
